Eying You
I was shooting this little owl (Northern Saw-whet Owl) early this afternoon, before going on another outing, which I'll discuss tomorrow. This was a tough shoot because the light was less than ideal. I was stuck with and shutter speeds between 1/50s and 1/125s at ISO3200, but still was able to get some good images, like the one above. Normally I would pull out my SB-800 in such low light, but I didn't want to spook this little owl, so I just shot with the light I had. The Nikon D300 may not be known for being a high ISO champ, by modern standards, but with some minor editing in Aperture 3, the quality of the files are good enough for shots like this one!
