A Season Of Light
The nights have been very long here in Vancouver these days, but that just means more time for night shooting! Tuesday night I went out to shoot holiday light displays, and the home in today's was one of the places that I stopped to shoot for a while. The lights were synced to a number of songs, but thanks to an exposure of just over 1 second I captured most of the lights while they were on. This was a tough situation to shoot, because the lights were turning on and off it was hard to get a good meter reading. To overcome this I set my exposure in the middle of where the meter was suggesting. That seemed to work well for the most part, and only the brightest lights came out overexposed.
