Going Green

Need To Be Green

Yesterday afternoon I decided to do something a little different while out for a walk at the local bird sanctuary. Rather than shooting birds, I focused on a different source of life and colour, plant life. The shapes and colours of the different plants in the marsh give it a lush, gentle look in the spring. That feel is something that it dearly lacks during the winter months, when the plant life dies back and turns mostly brown.

I wasn't planning on doing any macro photography yesterday, so I didn't bring a tripod along with me, which ended up making these shots a bit of a challenge. Thankfully the D700's image quality at high ISO sensitivities is not overly compromised, so I still got some good shots.
