The best moments in life are the ones you expect the least, thus those are the moments that should be captured in photographs. Anyone who photographs wildlife comes to realize how dull the standard shot of any given creature becomes after a while, so capturing the moments that are less common become something to be strived for. In this case waiting for this female bufflehead to do something other than simply dive or swim was worth the wait.
