The Water Cycle
While I was out in the mountains last week I took this photo of icicles hanging from one of the buildings at the resort I visited. Icicles like these are not common here, because it doesn't get cold enough in Vancouver for such icicles to form, even on the rare occasions that we do get snow. There were larger icicles on other parts of the building, but these ones were lit by the Christmas lights on the front, which made them interesting. I converted this image to black and white because I felt that the texture of the ice needed to be the focus of the image.
