Ground Level (Photo Of The Day March 21)

Just Out For a Stroll

This image represents something that is talked about a great deal by some photographers, myself included. This photo demonstrates the importance of getting low, in this case down on my knees, then shooting with liveview holding the camera almost right down on the ground. I would have placed my camera right down on the ground, but there was too much bird feces around to do that.

This image is another one that shows the importance of perspective, which I talked about last week. In this case I was using my 300mm lens with a teleconverter, but I can picture in my mind what I could have done with a wide angle lens, closer to the subject.
