Holds It Together
Using a macro lens, or macro mode on a point and shoot, can open your eyes to a part of the world that you have not focused on a lot. This image is of a screw that is holding a metal plate onto the step of a ladder. Most of the time such details would escape the users of a wooden ladder, but with a macro lens you can bring that little screw into focus in a way that you could not otherwise. The tip of the day is to take some time and look at the smaller items around you, because you never know what you'll find!
