Today is officially the first day of all, and it feels like it too. The sky is gray with clouds, the leaves on the tress are starting to change colour, and kids have been back in school for a few weeks now. As I was out for a walk on Monday I noticed the leaves in today's photo pilling up in a small pond, which along with the light, caught my eye. The different shapes, contrasting colours between the newly fallen leaves, older leaves and the water are what makes this image interesting to me.
