On Wednesday afternoon I was walking at the Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary and stopped to take some photos of reeds along one of the inner marsh pools. While I was laying down and taking those shots these Sandpipers walked out right in front of me. I didn't even notice them till they started talking to each other with their usual array of high pitched sequels. I was shooting with my D700 and 24-70mm F2.8G at 70mm, just to give you an idea of how close these birds really were. While I was shooting them I was kind of wishing that I had my 300mm F4, but this shot didn't turn out that bad at all.
