Of the thousands of images that I took this past year this simple image that I took with a rented Nikon 85mm F1.4D is my favorite, and is the highest rated as well. I took this image while I was laying on the ground, thus the extremely narrow depth of field in the foreground. Timing was everything with this image and I almost missed it. I saw the image before I even lifted the camera to my eye, I hesitated to take it at first, but could not pass it up. There was no time to play around around or try different compositions and this is the only frame I took of the scene.
