As an image maker there are many choices to make along the way to making a photograph. Passion is one of the driving forces behind making an image, because without it why would anyone be a photographer? So take time to think about what you are passionate about, what gets you excited, what draws your attention the most? When you figure out what you are passionate about, photograph it! The best photos you will ever make will come from your passion, anything else is just a mechanical response.
For example, I am a photographer and blogger, because I love to take photos, to share and finally to teach. Out of those passions, next comes the subject matter of the vast majority of my images, wildlife and landscapes. I photograph those subjects out of a love for nature and exploration.
