Battle Scared Wood Duck

This past weekend I pulled out an old D300, since my D750 is off for the shutter recall, and found that while old and well use, it still gets the job done. The D300 may not be a match for modern DSLR's, but I still remember how excited I was when I used it for the first time 7 years ago, when it was still top of the line for an APS-C sensor DSLR. After 7 years of use, being periodically out in the rain, snow and with over 105,000 shots later the camera still works. The camera has bumps and bruises to show for it,  most noticeably the cracked top LCD panel, which was inflicted after dropping a battery on it while making a swap a few years ago.

This male wood duck sat nicely on a fence post for this shot.
