Cloud Of Birds
From mid October till mid December seeing a wave of Less Snow Geese, such as this, is a common sight along the coast between Richmond and Robert's Bank. As the fall has progressed more, and larger, flocks of Snow Geese have arrived. The largest groups number well over 5,000 birds, most likely close to 10,000. On Wednesday afternoon this particular flock was very active, moving back and forth several times, although always returning to a particular location within short order. Usually birds of pray are what stir the flocks up, even though the birds of pray don't seem overly interested in them.
