Ice & Snow
Continuing on the theme of the value of shooting for the light today. I'll say right from the start that I chose to render this image in black and white as a way to highlight the light in the image. In photography circles there is a lot of talk about rules, well the image breaks some of the rules, such as rule of thirds. The primary subject is not in one of those areas, but rather dead center, the area lit up by the lights. Having the subject in the center of the frame is often considered a cardinal sin, but this case it works.
