Fox Sparrow

Fox Sparrows are one of the common song birds in the Greater Vancouver area. These little sparrows can be found near marshes, lakes and in most forested areas throughout the region all year long. Although the Fox Sparrow may not be as eye catching as a Great Blue Heron, that does not mean they are not worthy of a bird photographers attention. Watch for what they eat, small insects, small flowers and other vegetation or for when they sing their songs. Catching any bird in normal activity is always going to be more interesting than if it is just looking at the camera.
