Night photography has a unique set of challenges that are not often encountered during daylight hours. The first difficultly found in extremely low light situations is achieving focus. For landscape photography this is less of an issue, as long as you have some light to manually focus. If you don't have enough light, and you are shooting distant subject, you can set focus to infinity and stop down to F10 or F16, which is what I did in this image.
