Evening in the mountains of Manning Park can be a long drawn out affair, because the sun is hidden behind the hills well before darkness falls. This extended dusk creating a somewhat prolonged "golden hour". That doesn't mean that you could see an exciting array of colours in the sky longer than a coastal area. What this prolonged "golden hour" creates is an extended period of time when shadows are extremely soft.
