One of my favorite subject matters in photography is texture, in part due the realization that there are so many different kinds of textures to be found. Both natural and man made textures are all around us, making them easy to find, if you look closely enough. Each piece of bark on a tree has a distinctive configuration, the growth patterns on a leaf make it unique, and in this case the miniature branches on a fern alternate in a harmonious way.
