On The Lookout (POTD March 22)

Another shot of the Pileated woodpecker from Saturday afternoons shoot, also seen in Monday's blog post.  Did I mention earlier this week how much I like the red on these birds? Yes, I believe that I did. This is a somewhat unusual shot, at least in my experience, since the woodpecker is on the ground. It was pecking away at some old logs (most likely looking for some carpenter ants) that were used to build up the side of the trail.
