On May 16th I photographed the colt, born May 12th, of the resident Sandhill Crane's at the George Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary. While the trails near the nesting site are closed to the public, so the crane family has some breathing room, you can easily get a glimpse of the colt from several locations near by.
